How Purely Eco Beauty defines cruelty-free?

The term cruelty-free isn’t officially regulated, so there are more chances that any brand can say they’re cruelty-free. The same goes for labels like vegan, natural, and clean no legal repercussions at all. This is how we figure out if a brand is genuinely cruelty-free or not.

Brand’s Animal Testing Policies

The brand doesn’t use animals for testing at any point in creating its products, formulas, or ingredients. Seriously, there’s zero animal testing happening here.

Suppliers And Third Parties

The brand’s suppliers and manufacturers don’t test their final products or ingredients on animals nor they ask anyone else to do it for them.

Law Requirements And Locations

The brand makes sure that they don’t do any animal testing, even if the law says they have to or in places where it’s mandatory, unless they can find a way around those tests.

Brand’s Parent Company

We look into whether the brand is owned by a parent company and if that company is cruelty-free. It’s totally up to you to choose if you want to shop from these brands.

Brand’s Certifications

While a brand can totally be cruelty-free without any official certifications, we always like to see if they’re Leaping Bunny or PETA certified. It’s just a nice way to double-check!
